Friday's district game in Argyle truly was a tale of two halves, one that saw Bishop Lynch take a two-score lead, while the other saw Liberty Christian erase that deficit and escape with a 17-14 win in a crucial game for both teams.
The tables turned in the second half as Liberty Christian (3-5, 3-2) got the ball to bounce its way and was also on the positive end of some strange calls by the officiating crew, including a fumble called against Bishop Lynch that killed a drive that was on its way to producing a huge scoring opportunity.
The Friars were held in check in the second half while the Warriors found something that worked and used it to their advantage in front of a large homecoming crowd.
The win makes the Warriors 7-0 all-time against Bishop Lynch while the Friars will now hope to win their last two games in order to open the postseason at home.
Bishop Lynch will host Nolan Catholic on Friday at Roffino Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
